I’ve just been horrible at updating the site recently. I apologize for that. But I have a bunch of picture now.

First of all, if you haven’t heard, grandpa (aka dad) was in a motorcycle accident August 31st. He was riding to the Racetrac gas station to get something to drink. He didn’t make it. He was headed north on 77 when he t-boned a kid heading on south 77 decided to turn left in front of him and then stop in the middle of the road, taking of all lanes of the road. There just wasn’t anywhere to swerve to. He hit the front quarter panel and flipped over the car and landed on the concrete on the other side. The damage; two broken ribs, pelvis cracked in three places, a broken left wrist, possible torn rotator in right shoulder, and a bunch of cuts and bruises.

After a helicopter ride to the hospital, just over two weeks in the hospital, and 3 surgeries later, he is doing much better. We were able to get him out of bed and into a wheelchair in order to go outside for a while on September 6th (also Aunt Atley’s birthday).

He’s at home now. Miguel, Mike (Miguel’s father), and I built a ramp to go up the front steps before I left. Sorry, I don’t have a picture of that. He’s still in the wheelchair and will be for a while. His left arm is still wrapped right now. It will be put in a cast in the next few days. The hip will take a little more time to heal.

The motorcycle you say? It’s totaled. Obviously.

I did it!!!  I posted on the website!!!  YEAH!!!!  It’s a miracle!!!!  Since you made fun of me…I’ll give you something to laugh about…check out my costume I wore to school today.  Today was story book character parade.  My class dressed as the characters from Click, Clack, Moo Cows that Type.  I was Farmer Brown and they were my cows.  I was sooooo cute.  We had a blast.

Jessica ran in the Warrior Dash on May 1st.  It was so00000 much fun.  The worst part….the kids would have NOTHING to do with me after because I was covered in mud!!
