December 19, 2009 ♦ Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause

Van and Max visited Santa yesterday. Van was good. He popped right up there and told him what he wanted. Max was a different story. He didn’t want anything to do with him. He was just there for the presents.

Jessica also made a post about this on their family website.

And no, Van is not flipping off the camera in the picture.

December 2, 2009 ♦ Thanksgiving

Six days after Thanksgiving and I’m just not getting around to posting this.

I went home the day before Thanksgiving. We stayed in Texas for Thanksgiving and celebrated as a family. The day after Thanksgiving we drove to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving/Christmas with the Foster site of the family. On Sunday we drove back to Texas. Then later on hat night I flew back to California. It was a busy holiday season!

I don’t have any of the pictures from Thanks giving yet but here is one after I first got in town.

Van chokes out Uncle David

I can’t believe how big Van and Max are getting. I see pictures of them all the tme but seeing them is very different.

November 14, 2009 ♦ New Site

I made a few changes to the site. The first thing you will notice is that the design is slightly different. The redesign of the crest was completed. When that happened, it didn’t look right with the brown theme. So I changed it to green and yellow.

The other thing that happened is that I converted the site from Mango Blog to WordPress. So you’ll have to give me a little bit of time to get all of the previous posts in here.

Let me know if you run across any problems.

August 2, 2009 ♦ Dad Meets Former President Bush

Last weekend when my mom was on vacation with Grandma Foster, my dad decided to go camping at Ceder Hill State Park. He slept there the first night. The next morning he wakes up to go ride on the trails.

When he got there, there were a few security details blocking the entrance telling him he can’t go in the trails right now. He asked why. They told him that former President George W. Bush was riding on the trails right now and he would just have to wait to ride after the former President was finished.

He asked if he could wait around and talk to him after he was done. They said it was fine.

About 20 minutes later, Mr. Bush comes out of the clearing. So my dad took pictures of him and talked to him for a while. Below is a picture he took. Click the picture to open the large image

Former President George W. Bush is a cyclist

Apparently Mr. Bush is an avid bike rider and is quite good at it. The guy that maintains the trail that Mr. Bush was riding on rode with him. He said he could barely keep up with Mr. Bush during the ride.
